Putting the "Bling" Back Into Business
Highbury Fields School Enterprise Day - 15 December 2011
As part of our commitment to the local community in Islington, this morning, Jane Manville from Gelbergs mentored members of year 10 at Highbury Fields School, Islington in their Enterprise Day.
Gelbergs was invited to be a business mentor and the brief was to make a product that would appeal to years 5 and 6 pupils from Drayton Park. Jane helped teams decide what products to make, market and sell in order to make a profit and helped them devise a business plan.
The students were given a budget of 35 Bling Dollars to spend on materials and other costs and could also borrow and barter.
The pupils were very innovative and focused, with some being born saleswomen!
An enjoyable morning was had by all.
